Editorial Standards

Editorial Policy

DesignFan is an editorial platform covering Chinese interior design, architecture, designers, studios and spatial culture for an international readership. We publish project features, interviews, original columns and contextual reporting.

Editorial selection considers relevance, clarity of available project information and the usefulness of the work for readers. It is not a guarantee, certification or ranking of a project, studio or designer.

Where a detail is unavailable or cannot yet be confirmed, DesignFan may omit it or identify it as awaiting verification. We do not use automated systems to invent project facts, biographies, awards, dimensions, authorship or sources.

Verification and Sourcing

DesignFan records project and editorial information from supplied materials, official sources, credited photographers and other attributable sources where available. Fields may be marked verified, pending review or missing.

A source link is evidence of where information came from, not proof that every claim has been independently audited. We do not claim that all historical content has completed image-rights, source or fact review.

We may update a page when better source material becomes available. An automated HTTP error alone is not proof that a source has ceased to exist; such cases are queued for human review.

Corrections

To report a material error, rights concern or inaccurate credit, contact DesignFan at designfan2024@163.com with the page URL, the proposed correction and supporting evidence where possible.

We assess substantiated corrections and update the page, source note or credit when appropriate. Significant factual changes are shown with the page’s published and last-updated dates; unverified requests are not silently converted into facts.

Partnership and Sponsored Content

DesignFan may work with design brands, studios, events and cultural organisations. Where a commercial, partner or sponsored relationship exists, the relevant page displays a disclosure.

A relationship does not by itself determine editorial conclusions. A published feature is not an endorsement, product certification, ranking or procurement recommendation.

Authors and Editorial Team

Until individual contributor profiles have been verified and approved, articles may be attributed to DesignFan Editorial Team as an organisation rather than a named person.

This designation describes editorial responsibility for the published page. It does not imply an undisclosed individual author, professional certification or a multi-layer review process.
