A twenty-year-old European-style private house reworked by LD.D Liangdao Design into a brighter contemporary home, opening the garden boundary and reorganizing living, dining and tea areas around light and nature.
The renovation removes the enclosed garden edge so daylight and landscape can enter the original house more directly.
Living, dining and tea functions are reorganized into a calmer L-shaped domestic sequence around the garden.
A contemporary material language replaces the former heavy European expression while keeping the home warm and livable.
