Residential Interior Design in China

Residential interiors in DesignFan’s current public archive are read as places for everyday life rather than as a display of finishes. The available selection follows two Shenzhen apartments whose plans were reconsidered for different routines: one turns a standard finished home into a more expressive setting for art, movement and flexible use; the other reworks a raw apartment around shared meals, a study and a children’s room that can change over time. Across both projects, storage, circulation, light and material transitions carry as much weight as the visual identity of a room. The collection keeps its focus on documented homes with an approved Residential Project Type and a public, indexable detail page. It does not infer domestic programmes from a title, an image or a studio address, and it does not turn a larger floor area into a claim of luxury. Additional structured residential records remain outside this public preview until their source, route and indexability status support editorial inclusion.

Design approaches

Daily routines

Study, dining, exercise and rest are given room to coexist without turning the plan into a sequence of isolated scenes.

Spatial planning

Partitions, doors and storage are used to change how rooms connect, open and support private time.

Materials and light

Stone, timber, glass and softer finishes create changes of mood while retaining a workable domestic scale.

Private and shared space

Living rooms, children’s rooms and quieter corners are balanced around different family rhythms.
